Making GardenStew more colorful with flags (& a new patc I've been thinking about it for a while now, And I've seen it on other forums too - That a tiny country's flag too is displayed below the member's avatar. At the very least, it will make our GardenStew more colorful! It also wouldn't be a bad idea if we are also given a choice about what tiny versions of our patches we'd like to put on display below or besides our avatar. Like say 4 or 6 of the ones we are most proud of. I have actually noticed it in myself, that the more colorful a forum's display is, the more I am attracted to joining it. And so if I don't see many colors within the first few minutes, I very quickly lose interest... So hopefully this little bit of extra color will bring in more members! And as for the patches themselves, well, I'd like to see a Thought Provoking patch too. Something like The Thinker (a bronze sculpture by Auguste Rodin, usually placed on a stone pedestal)... Lots of members often say and do things for which there isn't just one answer - So to those members, I'd like to offer a Thought Provoking patch!
Hi S-H, thanks for your suggestions I like the thought of a Thought Provoking Patch. However to avoid using an art piece that undoubtedly someone has image rights to, may I suggest a lightbulb instead?
Yes sure, any kind of an image that can be interpreted as Thought Provoking will do. However light-bulbs in this day and age are on the way out, (as LED and florescent bulbs are in) - Besides, light-bulbs are more symbolic with bright ideas, not philosophical intrigue... So perhaps we should have 2 new patches, one for Thought Provoking (for those deep thinkers who urge us to look at every aspect of a situation and/or discussion) - While the other one for people who occasionally give Briliant Ideas! Editing this post: Wait! I got it! How about a falling apple alongside Sir Isaac Newton as our new Thought Provoking patch!!!
