Our roses are really hitting their stride! Here are a few more that are blooming their heads off right now: This is Esperanza, who I can see from my kitchen window. Very light fragrance, but she makes up for that with prolific blooms. This is a rose given to me by a neighbor. Fragrant, sturdy, and very "bloomy". I call it Marvin's rose after the giver. And finally, Lady Hillingdon. White roses are difficult in our climate--they tend to either brown out or ball. Lady has been entirely satisfactory in a semi-shaded spot. She was 7' of satisfactory until I pruned her back to 5'. Light scent and lots of blooms! Can you tell I love roses?
No - not at all Jane. I'm so glad you do though as we get to share them through your photographs. It's just a pity we don't have feel and smell computers.
Eileen, it's not a pity that we don't have a "get pricked by a thorn while admiring a rose" feature on our computers. There would be blood all over the keyboards!
Ouch I never thought of that!! I could always wear thick gloves when roses were shown though I suppose.
