This is Balder our rottweiler. He's 7 yrs old, an just as gentle as can be. He is so afraid of flies its hilarious to see him run home with his tail tucked between his legs, then won't come out unless we just about drag him. This is my baby.

He's named after the most handsome god in Norse mythology, and it suits him. Lovely dog.

What a handome, gentle giant you have Biita. :-D I love rotties but hate the fact that they get so much bad press.

Yes Balder is named after the Norse god, just like the god, my Balder is gentle an loving an times he thinks he a lap dog,,, lol. my poor legs. It is a shame the bad rep. that rottweilers got. when i came to Norway, my husband had already had him for 4 yrs. Like he says its all in how you handle an treat the dog that makes his attitude. Balder was handled with respect, love, gentle but firm hand. an in return he gives it all back. but he really is my baby, i just adore this dog an he totally adores me back.

Balder is a handsome fellow Biita. He reminds me of my sitters Rottie, Baby. Her name says it all :)

lol,, no Balder cannot hide at all during winter. I have no trouble locating him when he wonders down to the field or boathouse.
