Microstegium vimineum (Japanese Stilt Grass) or as I like to call it, the cockroach of weeds. The only saving grace to this weed is that it is easy to pull up. But, they are amazingly invasive survivors.

after some weeding the liriope looks healthy and happy but a foot away the army of Microstegium vimineum (Japanese Stilt Grass) laughs... I'll get them tomorrow!

Poor liriope, but lucky for them that they live with you. :stew2: The grass is very pretty, but if I get some I'll remember not to plant it in the ground.
