On my day off we went to Flagstaff, Az. Elevation:7,335 feet. We took some pictures going up, leaving from Prescott around 10 am. First is Granite Dells rock formations.

The next one is also Granite Dells, but you get a bonus. The mirror in our truck!

The mountain in the next two pictures is Bill Williams Mountain. Bill Williams was a mountain man and the town of Williams is also named after him.

We went East on I-40 toward Flagstaff and you could see the San Francisco Peaks with snow on the top. Mt. Humphries is the tallest peak in Arizona and since last week has snow on the top. Everyone is hoping to see the ski area open by Thanksgiving. Last year it didn't get enough snow to open at all.
Since it is a sacred indian site they cannot make artifical snow.

Okay, that's it for going to Flagstaff. Dooley

It is so easy to forget that AZ is not all high desert and has fantastic mountain ranges. Beautiful scenery, great pics. Thanks.

Thanks for the trip. I had no idea what Arizona looked like. I really like the first photo.
