My sweet hubby built this for me this spring. It's nothing fancy, just lattice board on a frame. I have 4 small trumpet vines planted on it for my hummies, but don't expect much from them this year, although they seem to be growing well. Eventually, I want to put a garden bench or even a cafe table under it. This weekend I am planning on hanging some hummie feeders and a couple of hanging plants from it too. In the past, this little garden area was home to monarda and can't remember what else. But the neglect of the last couple of years pretty much killed them off. I think I'll just leave the ground as grass for easy upkeep now.

That's so nice! :D I can visualize how it will look with the vines, blooms, hummingbirds and a comfy chair in the middle.

I bet that is the going to be everyone's favorite spot to "kick back". Can't wait to see it all covered in the Trumpet Vines.
I have planted to go over my archway... but it's being slow about growing... or I'm just impatient! :-D

Maybe, just maybe, if I show my husband your arbor he'll get the hint and build me one. What a lovely spot it's going to be once your plants grow up it and attract the wildlife.

What a great arbor, and what a nice husband (almost as nice as mine! :-D ). Plant some hummingbird attracting plants near it, and with the trumpet vine you'll be "buzzed" regularly!

Really nice, that will look very pretty and inviting with the trumpet vine growing over it.

I want one similar in front of our daughters bedroom window, I have cuttings from my Bignonia capreolata (Crossvine, Dragon Lady Crossvine) growing some nice roots in water on the windowsill. I'll just have to show hubby your photo to inspire him to get busy.

Your Dh did good. Hummers will like trumpet vine. I also love getting buzzed by them.
