    Who needs a truck when you have a trunk

    The other plants there are white Yarrow.

    I had never dug in this area before. Topsoil is about twelve inches deep. A sandy acid clay loam. Beech (Fagus caroliniana) should be present here, but it is not.

    My baby Buckeye-five months old.

    This one was planted a year earlier. And they are already leafing out.

    will you let the Buckeye mature to full size or try to keep them pruned to "shrub" size?
    I have some Yarrow... I like it have plans on dividing some and spreading it around to a couple of different beds.

    These will be allowed to grow their natural form, with only minimal pruning.
