    I started basil, sweet marjoram, parsley, and thyme inside today. We have two heat mats, but only one is in use now. I like to get a head start on our herbs so they can harden off and take care of themselves while we are planting the vegetable garden.
    Also, I adore herbs!

    It is exciting news, Jane.
    I am distantly thinking about about getting started this month.
    You have some great plans there and a good selection of herbs selected. Those heating pads work like a charm, don’t they. I love herbs as well, I honestly could not do without them.
    You are leading the way...go Jane, go!

    Herbs are ok as an afterthought ! Rather have something I can eat ! So will go with greens, lettuce, tomatoes later !

    Chuckle mart! You always have a unique point of view! I've never thought of herbs as an afterthought... But when I read your comment, I pictured someone just munching on straight herbs....basil or thyme or a rosemary branch and the picture was indeed ridiculous!

    Well, CM you know Texans are logical ! Can`t make a meal out of the herbs alone ! But toss some squash or zucchini with it and its pretty filling !

    UMMMMM the Texans I was born to, raised by and the one I am married to and his family
    would not call that a proper and complete meal. Add protein...preferably in the form of a chunk of meat and you are heading in the right direction. :}
