I would like to ask what people would regard as the best mix of soil to grow Vegitables?

What i mean is would you consider this as a good mix:
1 part soil to 2 parst compost?????

    Any help would be fantastic.

    Thanks.

I'm no expert on growing veggies but I use 2 parts soil and 1 part compost which seems to work well for the few that I do grow. I feel that too much compost can burn the roots of the plants especially if you dig in well rotted organic manure before planting. However, Poyda I'm sure there'll be someone else along shortly who will be able to give you much better advice than me. :-D

Welsome to GardenStew and I hope you make your stay with us a long one. :D

I've only occasionally put in a veggie garden, but when I do I just till in a couple bags of steer manure and some peat moss, maybe a little extra compost. - I have no scientific reason, it is simply advice my grandmother passed to me. Seems to work pretty well. Hopefully someone here can be more specific for you - welcome!
