Not a normal dragonfly

    but one that I have paper-pieced today using a free pattern on a blog called borsedigaya. People who sew are as generous with their help and ideas as gardeners :D

    The first shot is how the pattern looks after I had sewn the component pieces together.This is also the way that I see it as I sew it.

    Shot 2 is the finished block before the papers have been taken out.I love the precision of paper-piecing.

    and this is the finished and pressed block.All it needs now is a 'frame' and it will be ready to layer with batting and backing to make a mini-quilt.
