I took apart an old calendar and of course saved the spiral ring thingy that kept the pages together....it's the type of things that just might come in handy some day.

During the heat of summer, my brain was getting fried and I needed something to keep it more pliable so I put this together. Tain't much but it's fun to watch when the wind blows it around. ;)

I painted a smallish styrofoam ball with silver paint, poked the spiral thingy in and stuck a small stick into the spiral and Voila' a new piece of garden decor.

You may be on to something, designer wind direction gauges. :) If it ever starts to rain again in Texas a designer rain gauge would be a snappy item in the yard. All sorts of possibilities.

Yep... she's definitely the "Mistress of Garden Junque" alright!
Amazing what you can put together when you're stuck inside due to the weather.

If I were stranded on a desert island, you are the
type of person to be stuck with - plenty of creative
ideas brewing up in that noggin.

You never cease to amaze me, Toni. You just keep coming up with unique stuff. I can sort of imagine how this thing works with the wind blowing.

    Way to go, Toni.

I LOVE this idea! It's amazing that nearly everything we throw away can be used for something cool!
