You lucky person, here in Galway, Ireland it is bucketing down. Can't go outside without a brolly!

Is the frost affecting your garden at all Capt?

Well I ended up like the proverbial drowned rat today!!! :( Went to an outdoor market with my daughter and we got absolutely drenched. Even our underwear was soaking wet. Not a pleasant sensation having your knickers stuck to your b*m. Had to go to her flat, strip off and wait for everything to dry in her tumble dryer. Had a good laugh about it afterwards though as I was totting about with a blanket round my middle and a 'Taz' towel over my shoulders while balancing on a crutch - not a pretty sight.

Love your pic! Over here we call them Goldfinchs or wild canary.

You guys can keep your rain over there! Don't send any of it west! :D

It's a nice sunny day here too. I started off with a sweatshirt but soon discarded that for a t-shirt. We went to a flea market outside too. We bought a $10.00 washing machine. Hope it works as our old one quit spinning and Brian had to hang everything on the line dripping. Dooley

Hi CK. Here is a piccie of our European Goldfinch for you. I have a few visit my garden every winter. 8)

I managed to pick up a beautiful blue glass at the market (I love coloured glass) and it only cost me £1.50. Will look great in my living room, that is, when I pick it up from my daughter's, as I left it there by mistake. :smt053 The main reason we went was to visit the butcher's van to pick up a months supply of meat each. Sadly after standing turning to a waterlogged sponge in the wet I found out that they didn't, in fact, have any chicken breasts left. :( We'll try again another time but I'll go prepared and wear a wet-suit, flippers and snorkle!!! :D :D

That red really stands out on him! That and the white breast are about the only difference. The body shape is almost the same.
