One of the garden clubs that I belong to took a trip to the garden to see the train display. All you see is organic. The makers walk through the woods and gather natural living plant matter then chop and slice and dry it all. They store it until they begin a new building for the display.

I didn't even get a picture of the bridges that we walked under. It was a very cool thing to see. They go every year and I definitely will go next year also.

What wonderful works of art. It's hard to believe that everything is made from bits and pieces gathered from the woods. My favourite are the hot houses in pictures three and four.

Yes. All kinds of seeds and reeds and bark of trees and contorted branches and nuts all sliced and diced to make things. You could look forever and see things you have never seen before.

The greenhouse is a copy of the New York Botanical Garden greenhouse which is where the train is on display. All the other buildings are replicas of places around the city.

    It is fascinating.

They have been doing it for 23 years. The whole thing gets dismantled into sections and is stored somewhere in the city until the next Christmas. They also are busy making new or updating the old buildings all year.

There are even some buildings that stood and were destroyed in the early 1900's that they duplicated here.
