Oh, Sjoerd, how absolutely adorable those spring lambs are! You made my first day of spring with that photo. It's windy again, so I'm spending the first day of spring watching the rose bushes and trees dance.
It sounds like our weather was similar, KATE. Oh JANE--that is so nice to hear. Sorry it was so windy there...I'll bet it was chilly too. Thanks NETTY--me too....ME TOO!
We have frogs and newts mating in our garden pond, the daffodils are bursting into flower and the bees have begun buzzing about. The birds are in their mating colours and are gathering nesting material. We're seeing lambs and calves in the fields and it's actually getting warmer!! On the 27th of this month the clocks go forward so I think I can safely say that spring has arrived in Scotland!!
We have some "acceptable" weather forecast for next week as well. Fingers crossed for you and us. Those little guys are so much fun to watch. They sometimes have short spells when they hop and spring about like they have gone mad. "Capriolen", we call that antic-like behaviour.
The photo of the lambs are so cute along with the bright green grass. Not one sign of spring here though. About an inch of snow on the ground and more predicted for the rest of the week. Temperatures ranging from 14F to 41F (-10c to +5c) for the rest of the week. That makes it even nicer to see your spring pictures.
Yeah, 2OF--those little lambs are cute alright. I find it such a shame that you still have snow on the ground with more on the way. I sure am glad that you liked the foto.
