I’m a little lazy this morning but feel like sharing so here is a photo of some moth orchid blooms and a begonia starts bloom. I’ve never had all of my moths rebloom before and I usually pass them along. This year they are all reblooming or will be soon. The flowers last for months.

See if you can find the pitcher plant bloom. I thought this would be a plant that would succumb in short order. Instead it has gotten huge with lots of new pitchers. It is an interesting plant from Asia instead of the American varieties I’ve been so unsuccessful with in the past.

@Sjoerd thank you but you are too kind :)

@mart right on! You found it. It even pulls water through the plant filling the “flower” about a 1/4 to catch insects. I’m like a kid and find it fascinating.

So does it catch any insects? Or do you have to feed it?

    Your orchids are gorgeous.

@Cayuga Morning the pitcher plant is simple to grow. It’s just a matter of: keep it moist/wet and give it bright indirect light. Little gnats might fall in and drown in the water that the plant collects in the pitchers from being pulled up by the plant. It’s an interesting plant and like most of my attempts with “interesting“ plant I fully expected it to succumb. Instead it turned into a monster that I’ve needed to trim.:D

I am attempting to see if cuttings will root in water, but a moss growing enclosed container might work best. I don’t have one but have been thinking of giving it a try.
