If you don't want the shiny silver color, get some Rust-O-leum paint, either spray or brush on, and paint it. I have seen them painted, with a vine growing around potted plants on the steps. I am waiting for Randy's metal ladder to get old and unsafe to use... then it's MINE!!! Every time he takes it out of the shed I tell him it looks unsafe...but he says "no, it's just fine, get your hands off."
fence against tree ( photo / image / picture from muddypaws's Garden ) Margie - Perhaps paint it and set up against a nice large tree with some other garden thingees! I found an old wood baby swing at a flea market.
If it is a flat ladder, I have seen them used in the herb garden to define and separate the herbs. I was also wondering if the rungs are thick enough to use as a vertical garden planter box.
You may use your ladder to make a flower corner. Here some ideas: ladder decor ( photo / image / picture from geri_86's Garden ) Ladder decor 2 ( photo / image / picture from geri_86's Garden )
Geri... both of those ladders are great looking! Makes me want to go and break my brothers ladder so I can use it. Oh yeah... welcome!
I have an old wooden ladder. It was cut down to about 3 foot. I don't know why it's so short or how old it really is and I had no place to put it. So, it's now on the ceiling. I haven't figured out what to do with it yet but there is a bug and lizard on it. Can anyone find them? I have bugs all over my house along with many many other hidden beings. Makes things fun.
