Due to the goverments reared it's ugly head this is our honey house at two weeks and thee days old. One of the set backs was the stakeing inspection we were waiting for them to do. It cost a large amount of money to have them come to the property and ask US :?: where the property line was and say, :x Yes it looks to be 25 feet off that. You can now dig the post holes. I won't get into all the delays as I get angury every time I think about it and I must move forward. Al
Woke to a beautiful Saturday morning. A six point buck stood next to the lumber pile and ate grasses from the old veggie garden site. Soon Brian arrived with his bobcat to dig our 14 holes 16" x 42" deep. Shortly after he finished and left a light rain began to fall. I must add that the rain is much needed as we have had very little for the last 3 weeks. I might add this is the fourth choice for our building site. Two of them we ruled out do to the need for to much fill to level it. Al
This is looking interesting Al . And when you really want to build something I can understand your anger at the delays. How long do you think it will take to complete? BTW aren't Bobcats great! So versatile!
Yes bobcats are great, so many attachments for them. HUMMMMMMMMMMM I think I would like the back hoe attachment for starters. I could dig some nice flower beds with one. Now back to the honey house. I think it will take two and a half weeks to build it. Well that is if everything goes well and no rain or help. The sand was delivered for the post holes. Brian broke his arm the day befor he was to deliver it and the person he recommended said they couldn't get their truck in the yard and turned around. Half the post are set, waiting on the inspector now to check the hole dept and piller in there on the rest. Still waiting but some pirlins got put on. The rest of the post got set after the inspector left. Al
One of Kare's cats found the snad pile a nice warm place to rest. More perlins got put on. Bottom batten board all installed. Opening left for a window. My inlaws came to help. Their in their 70's but worked their tails off to help. I so am happy they came. Mom makes me a pecan pie for my birthday every year. she also makes the best potato salada I ever tasted. Al
The first door set in place. I picked this door up when it was set out for the trash man last summer. Notice the scratch marks below the knobs from a dog. Also got all the ruff openings for the windows done. Second door in place and hard ware being installed. We are on the roof now. I'm tired and must go to bed. Al
