Out in the mountains.

    This is from a couple of years ago. I was sneaking up to this grouse, trying to get close for a picture when it came up to me instead. OK, my son took the picture. We were in the mountains near Banff.

    It would seem that birds sense a "kindred" spirit--someone kind, non-threatening, and possibly with food! You give us amazing photos, and now your son is following in your footsteps.

    Kildale you have got to be the Dr. Doolittle of birds!! We have grouse here but I've never seen one come up to people to be fed. Ours usually take off as soon as they see you anywhere near them. You really are an amazing man. :headbang:
