Passe-ing Time

    When it comes to making tomato concentrate we use a thing called, passé-vite. It is a sort of grinding apparatus. One could grind-all sorts of veg to make purées or as in my case, tomato concentrate. The machine sort of pulverises the veg.

    Our ancient machine has three plates with holes of varying diameter to grind with.

    I can’t say how old this mill-type thing is, but it came from the grandparents.

    That would be the manual version of today's food processor and it's very cool !! :heart:

    I looked that up. It was invented in 1928 in Brussels and is called a food sieve.
