Last fall we planted three peach trees about three feet high. This spring they bloomed. Now, you are supposed to pick them off so they won't break the branches. I couldn't pick those little peaches, not me. So, dr said I could leave them until the branches began to bend. Then, they grew a bit bigger but not by much so we left them. They've been turning a red color. Today, we were looking at them and some of them had been sampled by grasshoppers. dr checked and some were slightly soft and one came off in his hand. So, we picked all the ones that came off easily. Now, we have peach cobbler cooling on the counter.

I am SO jealous! My peach tree, which we planted 2 winters ago, has not made one single fruit yet (it's about 5 foot tall now).
Mine is a Red Baron.... what kind do you have? Yummm.... fresh peach cobbler...

Peach cobbler sounds delicious, especially as you picked your own peaches.

Yum! I would love to have a peach tree, but out of space for one. I'm not sure how well they'd do in our colder climate.

Oh, those look delicious. Peach cobbler, Peach Jam, Peaches with cream...I love peaches just about any way.

It's almost Parker County Peach season up here. Last year I made some peach jam with Rum and some with Southern Comfort, they were both absolutely wonderful.

Those certainly make my mouth water Dooley. I'm just waiting for peaches to arrive in our shops so that I can indulge myself.

That's fantastic Dooley! I wish I could have a peach tree in my yard, but it just gets too cold here. Enjoy your cobbler!

Dooley, Those look wonderful. Are they red havens? or maybe they don't grow there. We cut down our peach trees. we could never get a crop from them. :'( And I love peaches. they are probably my favorite. My sister just came home from S. Carolina, but didn't bring me any (Not that I have time to do anything but eat them fresh).
