For years I've been taking pictures of old barns & windmills, but when my old computer crashed I lost the whole file so I'm starting all over. Today while riding I stopped to take some pictures of Old Barns.

They still make good homes for barn swallows.

I really like the shape of the third one but all of them have a rustic charm about them. Do you get owls nesting in them? We have Barn Owls that set up home in any old buildings here.

There are several old barns around here, but I had never seen them as photographic subjects until I saw your old barn photos.
I think I see a new subject for my blog in a couple of weeks!
Thanks for sharing your pictures, and also for the inspiration.

Several of those sure looked like my grandpa's old barns. One is still barely standing.
Your photos bring back great memories. Guess you had a great day for riding, huh?

Great shots! I love old barns too (especially exploring them!) Well kept old barns like in the 3rd photo really are my favorite.

Don't have any covered bridges around here but I have a picture of one I took while cruising up in Il. We still do have old wooden bridges around thu.
Next time we're around some more wooden bridges, I'll take pictures.

Did you ride all the way to SE Texas today? That second looks IDENTICAL to my grampa's old one.
Nice pics. And looks like a nice day for a ride.
