Planting bulbs, as closely as you prefer?

    Is it true that you may plant bulbs as closely as you prefer as long as the bulbs do not touch and enough room is provided for the blooms? :stew2::flower::stew1::flower::stew2::flower::stew1:

    I have heard to plant them an inch apart but can not say for sure,,I do not plant bulbs !
