This is opened fully. Oh goodness, there's a friend crawling away. (bottom left corner, over the wood) I didn't see that when I snapped the picture.

    Here's a group of them:

It seems that this flower only lasted a day, but then again we had wind the day after it bloomed then cold weather.

Sanguinaria canadense, blood root. I've got them in my front border, and I'm very proud to have it too. :D The flowers don't last long, but the leaves are very pretty also.

I don't know if there are more varieties of them. I tried to search for it on the net, but ended up back here. Gotta love this site. :D

We have Bloodroot here too. I've never actually seen the flower! I wonder if they are fast bloomers or if mine aren't blooming??

If they have bloomed you'll see the seed capsules. The flowers only last for a few days, depending on the weather.

What a wonderful, happy flower. Petunia, are you going to collect seed? , I wonderful if they will grow in our heat.

The flowers were very pretty, but only lasted a day. I have no idea about how to go about getting seeds. It does seem that they may spread.

Pretty little flower, so perfectly formed. The leaves are really neat as well.
