I am fascinated by the picture of the purple flower. What is the name of the flower?

 

Took me a while to find its name. Bartlettina sordida (previously eupatorium sordidum). If you mean this plant.

 

When did Eupartorium sordidum get renamed Bartlettina sordida?

 

When the Botanists did the DNA testing and found that it was not a Eupatorium.
