I know I've shown you a photograph of my bearded iris before but I thought you might all like to see the flowers that are keeping it company at the moment. Now all I need is for my lily, in the middle, to open too and complete the picture.

Drool! They're lovely. Do you bring the cannas indoors in autumn, Eileen?

Love the bearded Iris. Take another picture when the lilies open up. Thanks for sharing!

Isn't it just like a Lily to make you wait? I love the color in that iris, my mom always planted the bronzey ones, but those kind just take my breath away.

Lovely composition there. I have some computer techs coming to visit this coming week (teenagers) and they'll help me upload my pics. I have a gold Iris which I haven't seen before, but love the purples and lavenders.

Yes Droopy they are the only plant that I do take in when autumn comes around. They are much too tender to withstand our Scottish winters. They are also too expensive to take the risk of the frost killing them off.

I've added another piccie of the callas to my first post - closer this time so that you can see the three colours better. :stew1:

Thanks for showing how pretty it's looking there, Eileen. I still like that lilly and the callases keeping it company are looking good too.
    Now for the lily....:)

Your Callas are sooo pretty! I'm patiently awaiting for mine to get their flowers, shouldn't be too long now as their leaves are full out.
I've never grown iris, for some reason they intimidate me hehehe..are they difficult to grow? They would be planted in Fall wouldn't they?

Hi there garden_angel. Here's a website that tells you all about how to grow beared iris.

    http://www.flower-gardening-made-easy.c ... -iris.html

Sorry I couldn't type out a full explanation myself but I have a little creature here with a broken leg and I have to keep an eye on him.

I had a small medium purple Calla I tried keeping in the house. I was killing the poor things. :( They have been adopted by a nice lady in Georgia. ;) I hope they will bloom for her since they were so pretty.

The purple of the iris complement the pink of the calla lilies so well.
