Sheilagh's garden is really beautiful Philip. I can just picture her looking out on all that colour and smiling. You are both so lucky to have each other and share a love of gardening.
Hi Eileen,..she is over the moon the way its blooming just now,..i added some more Foxgloves today so i hope they thrive,..she keeps scolding me of late when she spots me limping about and uttering the odd "ouch",..Hernia was acting up ,..however there was a big improvement today seeing i got a support,..oh took off the final supports from my wrists today yeaaaa. Left wrist. ( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden ) Not friendly wearing near rose bushes. ( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden )
As I scrolled through the photos, I thought... oh that's my favorite... no that one... wait... no this one! Absolutely beautiful. And happy to hear that your wrist are doing better.
Philip--I am sorry you have been having trouble with your wrists! Clearly I missed a post sometime back. I hope they continue to heal, but of course gardening probably slows that down a bit. Sheilagh's garden is lovely. So many beautiful flowers. I agree with Cheryl, it is hard to choose what one(s) are the prettiest. Question for you: I see there is a white wall there. What are your experiences gardening against a white wall? I ask because I have found it difficult. It seems to me that the white seems to wash out most flower colors.
Hi Cayuga Morning,..ah yes i had a fall in the boat and fractured both wrists,..i has plaster on both wrists for six weeks then just supports,..all is well now with the wrists,..but no heavy lifting for a spell longer,..there was and still is a Hernia from the same accident but every day its easing with the help of a support . White walls are a disaster,..they take from the blooms,..not at all a good background contrast,..worse is the water based paint as it does come off in a dust like substance making it look like White Milldew,..i have started to cover some wall with green paint,..i think it looks well but that is only my impression,..it will show lighter coloured flowers to their advantage.
