Hi all, Two of my prized Japanese woodland peonies are seeing seed. Below is a photo of one of them. You can see the seeds are erupting from their casing. Does anyone know how to propogate them? I am guessing I could just let nature take it's course & see if seedlings appear in the area in the spring. That assumes the seeds won't be gobbled up by all our local critters. Here is the photo: Obviously the seeds are the indigo colored balls, the raspberry red is the packing around them.
Thanks for the try @mart. I'll check the web. Or maybe the nursery where I bought it can help. I adore these peonies. They grow in shade and I have W-A-Y too much shade, so they are the plant for me.
You can do root cuttings at this time of year. When there is new growth, you can do cuttings from in the Spring. Good luck, meid
