I just found this information concerning one of the hardest items to recycle. There are not that many companies who accept it therefore most recycling programs do not include it in what they will take.

    http://www.epspackaging.org/info.html
Click on the PDF for recycle location info close to you, if there isn't one convenient you can mail it to the address below. It also gives the type of foam product they take, some that could be contaminated like the foam meat trays, are not acceptable. Look for the number 6 inside the recycle symbol.

    Alliance of Foam Packaging Recyclers
    1298 Cronson Boulevard, Suite 201

They also give information about recycling other plastics and there is information about those blasted foam 'peanuts'

I don't know if we have any recycling for styrofoam up here,, but it don't matter really, the foam that comes in boxes we use for insulation when we build so we save it,, and all the meat we do buy doesn't have the styrofoam bottoms, altho some do here, we just refuse to buy that.

Thank you for bringing that part of recycling to our attention Toni!
