    Hey Fairview, Pretty Rose there! Is this blooming now, at this time of year? Just curious and jealous because everything is so dormant where I live.

    Wow that is a beauty. You had said that your climate is more on the dry side. When my Mom lived in Arizona she grew the most beautiful roses. They loved the heat I guess. When it comes to roses I have a black thumb. :( But I sure love seeing photo's of the ones some of our Stewers grow. :stew1:

    I have gotten information from another site that this plant may be a Camellia. I haven't researched to determine if they grow in zone 6/7 or their growing habits.

    Original pic blooming - the pic was taken in the first week of April.

    Look carefully at the leaves,camellia leaves are not serrated.....definitely a rose like previous posters write, and a very nice rose too.
