Wow, what a pretty rose.... what kind is it? I'm going to be asking about my roses here soon. Once they get a bloom.

That is exceptional, countrygirl. Luscious color. My "early rose" is only setting buds. Please more pictures if you can.

    Thank You!
I got it as a cutting from an old restaurant about 10 years ago and that is the result. It is only one bush.
I have no idea what kind it is.

Wow!! I'm going to have to post my poor roses and get your advice on what to do for them. (I did feed them and give them manure/compost and peat this year... that's a start, right?)

    Hi Daisy
I don't know if you would benefit from my advise on roses! I have two other ones that I bought and they do OK but nothing to brag about.
This one was just a lucky cutting. I took three from the original bush. This was the only one to survive and it just wants to live and take over the world.
I throw a handful of fertilizer around it and prune off any damaged limbs in the fall and let it go.
I have tried to get more cuttings to grow for other people but no success with them.
BTW this photo was taken last spring. I just used it as a test to learn how to use the photo upload.
The bush is now covered in buds and a few blooms open. I will take another photo later and put it up.

Thanks CountryGal, you advice is a help. My poor roses... at least this year they've had food! I think they look OK. I gave one of them a bit of a trim yesterday -- I don't know if it's good to trim in the Spring -- you say you trim in the Fall... I'll do that this year instead. I'll show you how they come up when they bloom -- no buds yet.
    Daisybeans.

If you prune in the spring you are cutting off the flowers. I only prune off any dead limbs then.
