Over the last few years when Randy and I go off on our junqueing trips or our anniversary vacation I have been taking photos of assorted wildflowers we find on the side of the road. I never pick them, that can put them in the realm of endangered species and I don't dig them up since they are not mine to claim besides there is no guarantee that my yard can provide the growing conditions they require then they die and are lost to all and if they are on the roadside in front of a home I don't want to get in trouble with the property owner or the law, I just photograph them. When we get home I use the 4 really good Texas Wildflower books I have to ID them, then find them on our GardenStew Database and enter the pertinent information and the photos. I am betting that they will be in our database just sitting and waiting to be recognized, but if they are not then Suggesting them is very easy. This is the time of year to watch for all the beautiful wildflowers each state has...some of us have the same wildflowers so IDing them should be really easy. If you don't have a book to use, then do a Google.com search for Wildflowers of (enter your state or country) and browse through some really good sites that you will find. You can always search through the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center website http://www.wildflower.org/explore/ to find them too.
