We found this chair at an antique shop for less than $12.00. My husband knocked it apart and reglued all of the joints.

I painted it and bought a new cushion. We gave it as a gift to our neighbors daughter who is expecting her first baby in November. I also made her the afghan that is over the chair arm. She is the young lady that we adopted our cat, Puzzle, from. She couldn't have him in her new apartment.

    Very Nice.

That chair reminds me of the one my Grandmother used to have in her cottage in northern michigan. She used to read books to me in that chair. Really good memories. Hers was black and looked almost identical to yours (of course before you painted it).

    Good Job.

Your neighbours daughter must have been so delighted with her gift Polly. I'm sure mum and baby will both appreciate it and spend many happy hours rocking in it. :-D
