My ficus Audrey had a scale bug infestation. I removed them, treated the plant with neem oil, and check daily for bugs. After a few months, the new growth on top is so healthy! Unfortunately, the bottom is unhealthy, weakened and can't handle the weight of the top growth. Can I cut the top and propagate?

My opinion is that you could. Having said that, I am not sure that now is a good time.
You could ask Tetters on here, as I believe that she has expertise in propagating.
Also, where you live may play a role in propagation timing.

All of what Sjoerd said, plus a photo would also help. I’ve only grown the smaller leaved varieties of ficus and kept them more as bonsai since my home is small. Need an expert to respond.:whistling:
