Solar Lights - Break The Darkness

Well am I glad I obtained a few solar lights a couple of years ago. The back garden was usually very dark, but after purchasing 2 medium-size lantern-type solar lights that have a nice orange glow when charged, putting one on my shed above the window and the other at the top of the trellis in my extension patio, it really breaks the darkness. Actually, the orange glow gives a warm, welcoming feeling to the garden. I also acquired dome-shaped solar lights and have them on top of the posts where 2 of my gates are, plus there are 3 more at various intervals along the side fence between mine and the neighbour's garden. These five lights glow a nice blue colour, and when they are on, along with the 2 orange, well, I think it takes away the bleakness of a usually unlit area.

I fancy the solar powered pond lights, those that float...and I have seen a garden along the road with little tiny orange ones, like little domes, and they look fab! On my list for garden investment this year!

 

I bought 2 solar lights to put outside my front door.I live in a tiny village and they dont believe in street lights, so when its dark, its really dark.Even through the winter, they still gave enough light at night and only cost £4.99 for the two.They look great and i too will be getting some more.My mum has solar lights on her pond, and also a solar fountain.Cheap and low maintenance, and looks fantastic.

 

Yes. All the benefits of solar lights are mentioned above - not too costly, no electrical experience required, no wires involved. No sooner bought than in place and working effectively.

I do have an electrical light at the front and back doors, as well as a sensor light on the back wall in case of intruders, but the solar lights 'look after themselves'.
