At last I hear you cry, I have resized some more pics for your delictation. The view from our pool. A spot of religious tiling A Spanish street. Saint Vincent Ferrer. The church door. The church of Teleuda People decorate their houses with flowers for Fiesta. And they paint the streets for Fiesta. Even the drainpipes are pretty. The headless flamenco dancer, another fiesta street decoration.
I love all the fiesta decorations especially the painted streets. It looks as though Mark and the children enjoyed their Spanish holiday.
Finally!...... hee hee hee ( I couldn't resist). No, but these fotos are great. I like it when there are pics of details. I liked the street scenes and buildings. I like the architechture of Spain and you showed a couple of good examples. It looked like it was sorta warm there. What was the average daytime temp? The view from your pool was nice wasn't it. Oh, EJ--I can see that you guys really had a good time there. Are there more pics to come? (he asks hopefully)
Looks like a fun trip! We've gotten to know a foreign exchange student who is from Madrid, and have an open invitation to visit anytime. I hope to take them up on it real soon, once the American dollar goes up in value a bit more! My husband and I don't get out much, but did manage to get to Europe for the first time last summer (Scotland and Germany) and we loved it!
So great that you were able to enjoy such a wonderful country, EJ. One can't have too much beautiful scenery and a pool to boot. I hope you have pics of the actual fiesta in action. Those decorations are pretty.
EJ, I really enjoyed your photos. Your eye for the details is fab! Love the decorated doors and painted streets and other fiesta decor. Looks like your family had a lot of fun too. Thank you. That was a treat!
Lovely photos! Lucky you to have enjoyed all that colour, and it looks like it was nice and warm too.
Gorgeous pictures EJ. A view like that from the pool and I would have a hard time leaving to go anywhere else.
It was the Fiesta for Saint Vincent Ferrers. No idea who he is or what he did, but it is a national holiday, all shops close and there are lots of celebrations. I love the drainpipe also. It is funny, sometimes you have to look beyond the obvious to find something interesting and querky. Sjoerd, the average daytime temps were about 22'c, so not bad for this time of year. If we were away from the coast, so no sea breeze, it was so lovely and hot you were fooled into thinking it was the middle of summer.
looks like you and your family had a really good time. I like the buildings and those dresses-just gorgeous! Thanks for sharing these with us.
Oh, I see--well those temps were alot nicer than the ones that we are having over here at the moment. It sure did look sunny and nice....did I say "nice"??? Darn near puhfik, oi'd saai. It's a pity that you had so few fotos to show, though.
