I have a rope trellis situation in an elevated bed I planted. In it I had a hanging string that I was going to tie to a bean plant once it got a little bigger.

So until the bean plant grew tall enough, I had the hanging string tucked away. But it must have blown loose, and my cucumber plant has foiled my dastardly scheme! 20210630_143751.jpg

I would have gotten away with it too, if it hadn't been for you meddling vines!

I believe cucumber vines have a mind of their own.

What I thought were Bush cucumbers put out 10 foot runners, over the fence, through the fence, across the tomato cages, but they're supplying us with good cucumbers!

Indeed they are quick! We will probably make a few Dill pickles
and share a lot of fresh cucumbers.
