Hi everyone, it's me again, I have another question about my painters drop rug, after it's all done how would you all say to put the polyurethene on this rug by brush or what? I'm kind of lost on that, It seems like using a brush would be the best, but not sure, I would like to do another one but just not paint the drop cloth, Just put stencilling on the raw cloth and then polyurethe it some how, what do you all think of something like that? Thank you so much Margie :-? :-?

I used a brush, but the "rug" was only about 3'x5'.
I don't know about stenciling directly on the raw canvas. Won't the paint soak in and perhaps bleed? It perhaps would take a lot more varnish to get a surface on it, too. Why not try on a small scrap and see what happens, before you expend all that effort on a larger rug.
