I snapped some pictures in my garden today.

Standing at the end of our driveway, you can see our Mimosa tree
and a little sliver of the ocean at the end of the street. :D
    [IMG]

This one was taken in the front courtyard.

Some potted plants at the top of the drive.

This privacy screen separates the parked cars from a seating area,
that's Spanish moss hanging in the ironwork.

A "wall" of potted tropical Hibiscus helps to define the space.

The 4th wall of this garden room is shaped by these potted plants
    and a bubbling fountain.

In a shady area beneath a Live Oak tree, is my hidden garden.

In the back yard, a few blooms along the fence,
    [IMG]

and my wheelbarrow, which in early spring was full of lettuce.
It is now replanted with spicy hot peppers and basil plants.

And, finally, we've come to the gateway into our woods lot.

Zuzu, thanks for the tour. I would love to sit out next to the hibiscus, everything looks so good.
    Love the Greenmen.

Thanks for the tour of your garden Zuzu. Tell me, what is that lovely blue bloom along your fence? The color is striking.

Netty ~ That is Salvia guaranitica 'Black & Blue'
I love the chartreuse foliage almost as much as those true blue flowers. :smt023

I love the color of the Blue and Black Salvia,I bought a pot of them at an end of summer sale last fall. I was able to get 6 plants out of the one pot and they have multiplied since last fall.

I just love old wood fences. Your garden is wonderful. The glass is almost as pretty as your plants. My fav has to be the fish at your fountain.

That planted wheelbarrow is teeming with wonderful growth, easy to move around so that you can also have it in view :) Summer has definitely pulled up a chair and planted itself firmly in your garden Zuzu. Thanks for the tour.

I see more than ever why everyone is clamoring for a vacation at YOUR house. How lovely and peaceful it all looks.

    I love it all.
If I had to pick one, I like the glass in the courtyard with the caladiums in pots.
(tho I enjoy the wheelbarrow too.)
    (and the salvia)
    (and the mimosa)
    and...

Many thanks to you all for the nice compliments.

Teddybear ~ you have a sharp eye :) I love that little fish planter, too.
It used to belong to my mom, and I was hearbroken a few years ago
when some visiting night creature knocked it down and broke it. :'(
But my DH is a wizard with 2-part epoxy and he glued it back together for me.
    [IMG] What a guy!!

Frank ~ you're right, summer is definitely settling in here,
and all the heat and humidity that goes with it in this part of the world.
Oddly, I find that the more "jungle-y" my garden becomes,
the easier it becomes for me to tolerate the tropical conditions,
    [IMG] it's a psychological thing, I guess.

Bethie ~ heheh, maybe I'll institute a new policy for guests,
. . . you must pull one bushel basket of weeds
for each meal/shower/or night of bed rest

    what do you think??

Chitweed ~ LOL you sound like me, be careful,
    loving-it-all is how I ended up with way-too-much. :D

Is there really such as thing as "way too much" Zuzu?
I look forward to my first "black and blue" blooms to open :)
