    I can't manage to get my sprouts to become plants, so I'm hoping to be able to pick up tips here to actually grow something...

    Hi and welcome SpoonyBard to GardenStew.
    You do not have to give us city and zip code but knowing which part of our HUGE state you are gardening in would be very helpful to determine what the problem might be. Anything from old seeds, not enough moisture, too much moisture, too much sun, too little sun...so many reasons.
    And let us know what specifically are you hoping to grow?
