My dogs love to burrow. I always provide them with blankets in their beds so that they can.

    Blanket mound = sleeping canines.

Jazz was NOT pleased that I disturbed her just so I could prove there really was a dog under there. ;)

One of my little girls likes to disappear like that. I lay a blanket on the floor on cool days for them to keep cozy in. We quickly realized that we must never never walk on that blanket for we may break a special little girlie.

Watch that you never sit on that pile of blanket.

Oh, trust me Barb, my entire family knows to be VERY careful when they see a blanket pile. They all know not to just randomly plop down on the couch if there's wadded up blanket, because the great likelihood is that there's a dog underneath!

It's actually quite funny to see them come up to the couch or the chair, and gently poke at a blanket mound to see if it moves! ;)

It's so funny how some of them love small cozy spots. My girls have to know where the other is at all times. Once in a while one of them looks and looks. What an expression.. Then you can see the relief when she locates the other under that blanket. I tried to get it on video and always miss it. Cute for sure.

    That's cute.
My boxer used to love to do that, but she didn't disappear so easily.
It's funny how dogs think that if they can't see you, you can't see them (or their big butts sticking out from their hiding place)!

LOL! No big butts here. My dogs are each under 4 pounds in weight, so they don't make much of a mound under those covers. One of the reasons it's even more important to check before sitting on a mound!

But yeah, they DO sometimes burrow and then leave a part sticking out. Not often, because they tend to feel the cold a lot so burrowing is a way to solve that problem. It IS funny though to occasionally see their heads completely covered, but the rest of them poking out from under the mound.
