That wooden bucket that you see in the background is an actual "Old Oaken Bucket"! It dates from the 1800's just about the time of our Civil War. We keep newspapers in it for starting fires!

Looks like a wise and cozy kitty to me,
I'd happily follow that example of "what to do". :smt023

If you look behind the stove you can see his fake sheepskin mat. He usually sleeps on it, but I think he got too hot! He will be so warm when he comes out from behind the stove, he feels like he should go "POOF" up in smoke!

I love that stove and the 'Old oaken bucket.'
A very wise cat you've got there. When there's all that snow around he knows just where to be. :-D

I think your kitty melted on your hearth. That is one comfortable and deboned kitty.

Kitty looks quite comfortable in front of the heat - wish I could do the same on these cold days.

He has a real original name. " Whitey " Most of the time we just call him kitty. He follows me all over the place. Spends a lot of time laying in between my feet as I set in the chair. In the summer he will swing with me, if I lift him up and put him in the swing. He is about 10 or 11 years old and has artheritis so he spends a lot of time where it is warm to keep his old bones flexible. Right now he is at my feet , under the computer cabinet.
