We had a great day. Food was delicious & all our guests enjoyed themselves. I do love Thanksgiving!

We had friends here with different political persuasions. I tactfully let one couple know (the most vocal) that there would likely be differing opinions...so everyone avoided the subject. It is do so ironic in that we all have very similar values, ethics, decency etc but yet are on different sides of the political spectrum. I am sure we are really not so very far apart as it seems yet it is all so charged in the country now that it is risky to discuss at a holiday dinner.

How did everyone else do with this? Are things as divided right now in other countries?
