I have everbearing raspberries. The berries that keep coming all summer. They're doing pretty good even with the lack of sun. We're still having cold, dreary days, even had rain yesterday which we sure needed. They'd be coming really furiously at me if we actually had some warm weather.

Mostly we just pick the raspberries and eat them with ice cream. I've given some away. My tenant goes out and gets a bowlful daily. I've frozen one freezer bag of berries.

I think this group is destined for pie.

I could make so many things out of raspberries like yours. I'm afraid the squirrels and birds beat me to most of mine this year. :( I did pick blackcurrants and strawberries though and made sorbets out of them. :-D

Netty - there's about 12 plants and we had to weed the volunteer canes in May. Here they are about a month ago before bearing fruit. I think there are 3 different varieties of raspberries. The ones on the far end don't grow as high and are just starting to ripen and they have the largest raspberries but not as many as the other plants have. I'll have to take a photo of them when I get a sunny day.

Eileen - good idea on the sorbet. I hadn't thought about that. And doesn't it figure I just went out and bought a tub of it 2 days ago!

Philip I don't even want to think about waking up at 3am. My husband woke up at 4 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep again. I think he was eating the bread I baked yesterday. There was one slice missing when I went to bed last night and this morning 3/4 of the loaf was gone!

mmmmmm, love rasps, they are my favourite summer fruit. And I have just made a large tub of sorbet in my icecream machine. The great thing is, as the rasps are so sweet, I didn't have to add much sugar so I can fool myself that a big bowl is good for me to. :)

look delicious - our red ones aren't doing well and the yellow ones we planted in the spring didn't make it. But the old standby wild black raspberries are putting out quite a crop.

Ha ha Philip - the bread was pretty good. All gone now. I think I'll have to bake some more today. That brown soda bread sounds good too!

EJ - I was thinking about sorbet but I forgot to buy one ingredient! Oh well. Doesn't look like I'll have time to make it today anyway. Besides its kind of cold here. Not really ice treat weather.
