Do you use tomato cages for you tomato plants? Do you use tomato cages to support plants other than tomato plants?
I do not use cages anymore as the size is too often wrong for the chosen plant. I use cattle panel, so strength is a non issue, and I can form the panels as needed for the purpose, and they last far longer than the skinny wire of cages.
Shhhh, don't tell. A friend that I gets a lot of our garden vegetables can't garden now, but has in the past. I was given about 20 tomato cages he had used in his garden. I don't use cages--we have T bars with sturdy wire between them. Our tomato plants would eat the wire cages and spit out nails! This is where I am swearing y'all to secrecy. I donated (unloaded, dumped, etc.) the cages at a local community garden. Those poor dears were happy to get them. I may have to avoid that community garden for a couple of years.
