We were on the hunt for a brass water cutoff for the hose out back, the hunt included a couple of garden centers that we don't usually go to. One was closed down :( and it was where we had gotten one several years ago, so we went to the other that is large, pricey and very busy on a 80 degree Saturday afternoon....they only had plastic ones but one of the ladies working there told us she had gotten hers at Elliot's Hardware. Got the last one at Elliot's a few minutes later.

While at the garden center I was looking around at the gardening doodads, necessities and not so necessary objects and found this. It is imported from the U.K. and immediately I thought of Sjoerd and EJ...a bit expensive for me but I just had to show you what I found.

If I had one of those, I wouldn't be constantly trekking back and forth from the vegetable and flower gardens to the house, barn, and workshop!
I think I'll try to get something similar and stock it with all the stuff I usually need. Maybe Sojerd and EJ can give us some ideas of what our carryall should contain.

Nice box to keep all the garden tools in one place. The tools always seem loose themselves through no fault of mine.

Somewhere in my back yard is a pair of the absolute best cutters I have every had. I put them down someplace about 3 years ago and even using my grandson's metal detector we have not been able to find them.

That box is larger than one of the large black lunch boxes, the tools fit in the lower half and the lid area has sliding 'doors' to hold your lunch or snacks.

I just know that as I turn over old flowerbeds that I will find a trowel that I lost 25 years ago. Each spring I say this is the year I find it. I will say the same thing next spring.

What a wonderful box! I would have been tempted to get it too.

What a great idea. I think both Sjoerd and EJ would love to have one of those.

Very nice box! I could do with one. Either that, or tools that holler if I remove myself a meter or two away from them. I've got a few tools somewhere in the garden. Sometimes they show up, sometimes they don't. *sigh* The tools sections at the nurseries love me.

What a little beauty that is. I could sure use a box like that. I had to rub my eyes and look twice when I saw that picture. :D

You come across the most interesting things there.

You are right, Toni--they are expensive....but none-the-less, very tempting.
    Thanks for including the link.

They were $46 at the garden center, if they were $20 here I would have brought one home with me ;)

heh heh heh...Well, they may go down in price one day. I can not imagine anyone paying so much for them these days...or maybe I am just a skinflint. ;) chuckle.

Yes, $46 is kind of steep... However, an inexpensive tool box and some paint and stencils..... hmmmm.
