We took a trip to Crane Beach yesterday & a hike around the dunes. (Ipswich, MA). Such a different landscape!!! The photos don't do it justice. The trails dipped up & down amongst the dunes... At times the dunes were a good 15' above our heads. Such a different landscape than most of Massachusetts.

    Great adventure! :sete_005:

But you guys didn't take a fishing rod with you. So you were there just for hiking?

Yes. It's actually pretty tiring walking through loose sand!

Wow Cayu, if I didn’t know this posting was from your hike I would have thought that the landscape from here. There are many areas that look like this, except the dunes are a bit higher.

most of our sandy areas are along the coast, but not all. There is an inland area that is sandy and diverse. You can read about it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veluwe

I really liked your pics, miss.

Wow I would not have put Netherlands together with tall sand dunes! I've been picturing flat, green & damp!

Well Cayu, there is that too. In fact the most is flat, green and moist. The inland sandy bits are “old land” and the huge dunes were formed over time by the wind and sea.
We have hiked in the Veluwe so often. One can also bike there and ride horses on especially made paths through the landscape.
BTW— unusual jacket your man has on— orange on the front, blue and black on the back. Cool. Orange is a colour that many folks wore yesterday because it was the king’s birthday.

Lovely landscape! Thanks for sharing it. Denmark has similar landscape here and there. I've never seen anything like it up here though.

    Very nice :)

Most of our dunes are by the coast too, but not all.

Today Barbados lives almost entirely from tourism, so when you come here, you can count on a decent level of service of hotels and restaurants, the hospitality of locals, and excellent infrastructure. Barbados is a completely authentic and wild place for those who have always dreamed of being alone with nature. Upon arriving in the area, we stayed in Crane Beach. I think this is the best place for a wedding trip you've ever dreamed of. But that's not all, we plan to do a little tour when we arrive in Europe from Germany to France. We will travel by train, so we will have time to visit the main sights. By the way, being here in Crane Beach, at https://www.dbauskunft.com/de/, we have already booked our tickets.

Sadly my traveling days are most likely finished. Ireland offered beautiful views of costal water. Florida is a nice place to visit the ocean.
