Undamming a river and rebuilding a forest in the PNW

That's interesting to watch @Pacnorwest. I've watched quite a few videos about dam removal in the past. i remember the Klamath is next.

That's great Pacnorwest, they're doing similar things here, returning streams to their natural route.

 

Absolutely wonderful to see wildlife and natural plants restored. Beautiful brook.

 

I don't know about the Coventry project, but many of the dams in the US are apparently obsolete, no longer in use (some powered wood mills or grain mills), or becoming unsafe. Some are deeply silted up and cant function properly any more.

I do like to see the salmon and other fish returning to their native habitats. Makes me happy
