Buddy and Timi are brother and sister, and best friends. They helped my husband in the barn this morning, then came back to the porch to clean up and rest.

Carolyn, one of our gingers is definitely a female. I was told on another forum that all gingers are males, but when we took Timi in to be neutered, we got a call from the vet saying "there are no boy parts on Timi!" Since our vet went through college, internship, and has been in practice for several years, we took her word for it and discounted the other poster's opinion.
Perhaps female gingers are rare, but judging from Timi, female gingers are cute, intelligent, and know just how to train humans!

Several years ago one of the stray cats that made our back yard a semi-permanent home was a female Ginger, never got close enough to verify that myself or could catch her to get her fostered but the growing belly and eventual kittens verified it for me.
