This past week we've had two fauns and their mama doe in our pasture. They are not particularly afraid of us--the word that we are pushovers for wildlife must be out--and just stare at us as we stare at them. One posed with the wild ruellia (aka Mexican petunia) that is rampant in our field just now. Watching deer while having your morning coffee sure gets the day off to a great start!
I've been seeing a mama deer with a fawn out the sewing room window nearly every day and sometimes there are a couple of does. They come out of the woods behind the complex and cross toward a narrow strip of woods near the hospital. The other day there were four rabbits chasing each other around. One was big and three were a smaller size so it may have been mama and babies. dooley
I love to see the deer - from a distance. When they are in my yard or in my gardens, thats another story!
Wow, I would love to see those cuties while we are having our morning coffee. They have such sweet eyes.
I missed this post because I was away. Deer are such beautiful creatures and I'm glad I get to see them for the next month.
