It's Saturday and the temperature's high. Dog's out teachin'them birds to fly. Can she run-boy look at her go! OOPS, she tripped on a dumb old hoe. We had a good nuff time, my doggy and me. The sun is shinin', the chirds are burpin'. Dog'll chase em off, that's for certain. Runnin' around like a big race horse. She seems to have her own set course. We had a good nuff time, my doggy and me. "Come on Dad, let's play fetch!" She knows I like to see her catch. I throw the ball out in the yard. She takes off just a-runnin' hard. We had a good nuff time, my doggy and me. Gettin' too hot, she has to stop. She hits the stoop with a big ker-flop. Days gettin' just too warm to stand. But what the heck, on the other hand, We had a good nuff time, my doggy and me. DR
Oh, I love poetry of all sorts. That is a good one. My DH used to right all the time, I have notebooks full of his stuff. Keep those poems coming.
And what a fine master this good dog's got, That he writes doggy-prose better than bought - No wonder it is she adores and begs pats With a dear loving owner like our Desert Rat; He has a good nuff time, his doggy and he.
An answer in poetry. Thank you, Primsong. I would have to guess that all gardeners are poets. It's just that their poetry usually shows up in the form of flowers. Thank you, again. DR
Since Prim did a poem I'll answer in a haiku: man and his favourite dog play in the yard enjoyable times are had
Soooooo DR when are you going to put all your great poems together and get them made into a book? I'd certainly buy a copy!!!
